This perennial Siberian chive variety blooms in beautiful purplish blue star-shaped flowers forming perfectly rounded flowerheads, adored by pollinators once it blooms on the second year. This fragrant culinary and medicinal herb adds a delightfully mild onion/garlic aroma and flavor to dishes both raw and cooked, such as salads, egg dishes and cheeses. Its flat edible leaves are bug and slug resistant, providing the same assets as regular chives when grown as a companion plant. Moisture-loving and occasionally difficult to germinate.
