This easy-care cactus relative grows slowly but beautifully. It makes for the most interesting architectural addition to any room.
Light: Bright indirect light
Water: Allow the soil to dry out completely before watering. After watering, make sure the plant drains fully. Do not allow the plant to sit in water for more than an hour as this will cause root rot.
Difficulty: Easy
Feed: Apply half strength of cactus or general-purpose fertilizer once a month at most during the growing season. These are low maintenance plants and do not require a lot of supplementary feeding.
Air Purifying: Yes, known to remove formaldehyde from the air.
Toxicity: Sap can cause mild irritation, itchiness and vomiting for animals and humans. Not detrimental.
Growth Rate: Slow growing.
