Calathea Orbifolia, much like its other family members is known for its striking foliage. But not only the patterning is special about this Calathea, so too is the shape of its leaves which are unusually round. The common name Prayer Plant refers to the leaves, which tend to fold in at night and open up in bright daylight.
Light: Moderate indirect to low light with no direct sunlight.
Water: Water when the top layer of soil is dry about an 1 inch deep from the top. This plant enjoys a humid environment and so would benefit from the occasional misting, or would thrive in a bathroom.
